Title: 369•567•666 (Miroku Corona Miroku)
Year: 2020
CAST: Takaki Uda, Kazuya Tanabe, Hiroyuki Fujii, Kosuke Tanaka, Imaru, Hana
STORY:
In the year 20XX, the COVID-567 virus—commonly known as the “567 (Corona) Virus”—has spread across the world. Somewhere in an unnamed country, a man is arrested after spraying the Prime Minister during a public speech.
Shortly after the incident, the Prime Minister contracts the virus and becomes critically ill.
As journalists investigate the case and a lawyer prepares for the man’s upcoming trial, conversations gradually reveal the motives behind his actions.
Division. Visible and invisible walls. Accelerationism. Apocalyptic thinking.
What did the man feel, and what was he trying to change?
Set in a prison visitation room separated by a single pane of glass, this satirical short film offers a sharp reflection on the social and political tensions of the 2020s.
